Can you tell I'm excited?
This is the greatest news I have ever heard. I kid you not. I am seriously about to cream my pants. FFVII was the game that hooked me on videogames and is one of the two of my favorite games of all time. It would be my favorite if not for it's fatal flaw: the ending. After I watched it, I was in utter shock. What the hell happened!? Where did everyone go!? There were so many questions left in my mind that I couldn't believe that that was the end of the story. I even took to starting a sequel myself. It never really got past the outline stage, but it was something to satisfy my need to fill the void that the cliffhanger ending left in my mind.
And now, at long last, after 6 years of rumors and speculations, and waiting . . . it's happening. The story continues.
The sequel is not a videogame, however, it is a movie.
A MOVIE!!!! Not only do we get a sequel to one of the greatest Final Fantasies, but we get another square pictures movie! Which is another reason to orgasm spontaneously by itself. Unfortunately, it won't be in theaters. It's looks like it's a direct to DVD movie, but still!!! It'll be released in Japan in 2004. A US release date hasn't been confirmed, but how could they not send it over here? And even if they don't, I'll order an imported copy along with a Japanese DVD player to watch it. It will be that cool.
Now, if you will excuse me, I am going to go cream my pants in happiness.
