Fumbling Towards Ecstasy

Risk. Fail. Risk Again.

That was a quote my director show the cast at rehearsal tonight. It really resonated with me. Changed my way of thinking.

Then I came back to my room and began dwelling on my lack of companionship again, and through everything that quote did for me away. Damn my stupid mind.

Still trying to get back to positive thinking. Struggling, but trying.

So, I'm going to talk about stuff that isn't terribly important, but has still been on my mind. Say part of Little Nicky this weekend. Wow . . . really dumb from what I saw. Script was kinda dumb. I mean, what is so horrible about a demon taking over hell? Why is that such a bad thing? They're demons. They're supposed to be bad. Aside from that little annoyance, Adam Sandler was the most annoying thing I have ever seen. IT was just sooooo bad. I wanted to reach into the tv and punch him in the face. He looked dumb, he sounded dumb, and he acted dumb. It wasn't funny at all. IT was just dumb. There wasn't the slightest bit of believability in that character. Soooooo annoying!!!!

And then I watched a little bit of Batman and Robin today. Wow. Also a really dumb movie. I mean, it was well made, but the person who wrote the script should be shot and maimed and burned and buried alive. I could've written better diologue when I was a fetus in the womb. How do these horrible scripts actually get made into movies? Can't these people tell that they're really fucking bad!? MY brain hurts just knowing stupidity like this exists.

I also saw a bit of a Lifetime movie this weekend. It was about a church camp counselor who molests a little boy. Then, when he gets caught, it looks like he's going to get away with it. So the kid's mother takes a gun and blows his head off in the courtroom. The movie was about the mother's trial. And after the mother did it, the general public hailed her as a hero. They send fan letters, and money, etc. to show their support. Afterall, the guy was a monster and got what he deserved, right? Well, then the movie took a turn and showed the mother of the molester. And it showed how everywhere the mother went, she saw on the news how people were celebrating her son's death, how they were supporting the killer of her son. And it really struck a nerve with me. That must've been such a horrible thing to go through. I wanted to cry watching the mother turn channel after channel and being continuously confronted with the image of people cheering the woman who killed her son. She lost a son, the other mother didn't lose a son. Who was more right? It really makes me think about our judicial system. I mean, everyone has a good side to them. I don't believe anyone is 100% good or 100% bad. And who is to say what someone's punishment should be. No matter what happens, there are consequences and people are going to be hurt. It just makes me sad to think of that poor mother. GAh, I don't know where I'm going with this. It's late and my brain isn't working properly.

I'll blog more coherently tomorrow.
