Well, despite all my plans to get to work ... each and every one of them has fallen through. Now, tommorow is my last day of class for Understanding Film and American Lit. Which means that I HAVE to do my symposium on Angels in America tomorrow. Now, the thing is, apperantly Dr. Hermenson assigned the symposium topics to people . . . I wasn't in class to be assigned one. And on Tuesday, when he announced the people presenting on Thursday, he never said my name . . . So, after much leg work, I've found the paper that lists the possible Angels topics. So, I'm picking one, and preparing a presentation. I don't know if he'll let me do it, but I'm going to make one anyway.
Now, I had a loooooong talk with Sharon today about all the shit that I've put off and I NEED to get done. It was helpful. She said that instead of looking at all this work as one huge lump, that I should break it down into parts so its not so intimidating, and it'll be easier to get started. I'm going to get some adderol on Friday, the medication for ADD, and it works IMMEDIATELY. Thank god! And I'm going to get a support network of people to keep me on top of things, and I've bought a case of Code Red Mountian Dew to prevent naps.
Now, from what I saw of presentations Tuesday, this isn't going to be hard at all. Hell, I could've gone on Tuesday and done the presentation off the top of my head. The only thing that'll take time is finding the quotes in the book. The paper will take more effort, but that can be done this weekend.
Then, after the presentation is done, I'll do my Donnie Darko paper, which I'll just rehash Doc's ideas into paper form. And that will probably take up all this evening.
Then, tommorrow, I'll do my final 3 GCP papers for Genetics, and perfect the other 5 to hand in Friday, and that ought to take all of Thursday. Then Friday, Saturday, and Sunday . . . well, I'll deal with them when they come. I've got a plan, and I'm going to do it!!! YEAH!!!!
